Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit this website or book a class, why we collect it, and what your rights are. We keep it straightforward — no legal jargon.

1. Who we are

Women’s Strength is a fitness business run by Rosalyn Ingleby, providing women’s strength and conditioning classes.

Website: https://womensstrength.co.uk
Email:  info@womensstrength.co.uk
Address:  38 Ashley Heights. Bristol BS7 9DD

We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. This means we decide how and why your data is used.

2. What data we collect and why

Contact enquiries

When you fill in a contact form on our website, we collect your name and email address so we can respond to you. The legal basis is legitimate interests — you’ve reached out to us and it’s reasonable for us to reply.

Class bookings

Bookings are handled through TeamUp, a third-party booking platform embedded in this website. When you book a class, TeamUp collects your name, email address, and any other details required to manage your booking. We process this data to fulfil our contract with you — i.e. to run the class you’ve booked.

TeamUp acts as a data processor on our behalf. You can read their privacy policy at teamup.com/privacy-policy.

Embedded video

This website contains an embedded video hosted on a third-party platform. We use privacy-enhanced embedding, which means the video provider does not place cookies on your device simply by visiting the page. Cookies may be set by the video provider only if you choose to play the video.

3. How long we keep your data

We keep data only as long as reasonably necessary:

  • Contact enquiries: retained for up to 1 year after last contact, then deleted.
  • Booking records: retained for 6 years after your last booking, in line with HMRC requirements for financial records.

4. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary to operate our services:

  • TeamUp — our booking platform, to process and manage your class bookings.

5. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your data (the ‘right to be forgotten’), subject to any legal obligations we have to retain records
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Data portability — receive your data in a structured, commonly used format

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@womensstrength.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

6. Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) — the UK’s data protection regulator — at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. We’d always prefer to resolve any concern directly first, so please do get in touch with us before escalating.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the date at the top. Significant changes will only be made where there’s a genuine reason to do so.
